Kayden Michael Cook

Kayden Michael Cook is a 14-year-old boy, who lived in Kalama, Washington. He was born on January

12th, 2008 and passed away in his home in Kalama on November 2nd 2022. Kayden was born to Amanda

Baker and Daniel Cook. Kayden has 7 brothers- Landyn, Jaxsyn, Bentlee, Mason, Jeffery, David and Jacob. Kayden was in the 9th grade. He attended Transitions School, which he loved and thrived in. He has a

baby girl due December 31st, 2022, Kaydence. Kayden was an avid reader; he especially loved the Harry

Potter series and Percy Jackson series. Kayden loved anime- 1 Piece, Demon Slayer, Baki, Bleach, Naruto,

and My Hero Academia, were some of his favorites. He enjoyed cooking, playing PlayStation 4, listening

to music, especially Juice Wrld and spending time with friends and family. Kayden’s best friends were

Dominque, David, Gretchen and Megan. Kayden made dinner daily for his family, and helped take care

of his brothers Landyn, Jaxsyn and Bentlee. Kayden also took care of his mom. Kayden was kind and

helpful, smart and funny. He was stubborn, and genuine- the type of kid who would help rub his

brothers back till they fell asleep, tuck his mom in and then sneak out. He was adventurous and not

afraid of anything. He was brave- I remember when I had to get a COVID shot for school, and not only

did he get his at the same time- but he went first and held my hand while I got mine. He made mistakes

but owned it. And he was the most loyal person I’ve ever met. Kayden always said I love you, even if he

was mad. Kayden wasn’t afraid to speak his truth- even if it wasn’t the popular opinion. Kayden could be

told anything without fear of judgment or criticism. Kayden is the best person I know, and I am so

grateful to have gotten the privilege to have been his mom, and spend the last 14 years with him.
